Hundreds of people lined the streets to pay their respect to the first
bullfighter to be gored to death in 30 years. Victor Barrio, who was
fatally gored in a bullring on the weekend, was laid to rest in a packed
church in Sepulveda and people applauded as the coffin was carried
Monday from a hearse.
The award winning 29-year-old Barrio died after being gored in the thigh
and chest live on TV in the central city of Teruel on Saturday. The
bull punctured his lung and severed his aorta in a matter of seconds
