Bauchi police arrest suspect with dead son's head

A man identified as Maikudi Mohammed from Galambi village in Bauchi has been arrested by the state police command after the severed head of his deceased son was found with him in Misau town. Spokesperson of the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed in a statement released today July 11th, said Maikudi was arrested following an intelligence report.

He stated that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with his accomplice, Damina Mohammed from Galambi village to carry out the act.

When interrogated, Maikudi confessed that himself and Damina went to the grave of his son who recently died, exhumed his corpse and removed the head so they can sell it to their customer who is currently at large. Police say further investigations into the matter is ongoing.
