German team which will face Italy in an exciting Euro 2016 quarter-final
on Saturday night -were given a day off on Tuesday by coach Joachim Low
which the likes of Mats Hummels and Andre Schurrle spent by playing
beach volleyball.
The Germans have always lost to Italy in the World Cups and European
Championship knockout stages - including in the 1970 World Cup
semi-finals, the 1982 World Cup final, a 2006 World Cup semi-final on
home soil and a Euro 2012 semi-final.
