This is the dramatic moment a daredevil kayaker plummeted from an 82-foot waterfall in the Amazon rainforest before eventually re-emerging after a nail-biting 10 seconds. Pedro Oliva attempted the feat five years ago but had become overwhelmed by the staggering drop he describes as 'the green hell of the Amazon' and turned his back on it.
His decision only fuelled his determination to one day take the plunge and after psyching himself up he returned to try again. And this time, he succeeded.
