long-finned pilot whale stranded in south China’s Hainan -was put
under protection by local residents after it was found on beach on May
16. The 3.5 meters’ long-finned pilot whale weighs 1000 kilograms.
It was kept in water and was shadowed by shade cloth put up by local residents to keep its body temperature.
